The NASC Student Leaders Program is a rigorous and challenging national skill and knowledge-based recognition program created by the National Association of Student Councils to identify outstanding individual student council leaders in high schools. Students earning the certification will have demonstrated their personal leadership abilities and met the criteria established by NASC. Unlike scholarships or recognitions that have limited numbers of winners, all student council leaders in NASC member schools who successfully meet the criteria will be recognized.

Applicants are required to complete a Leadership Portfolio and complete several tasks involving their knowledge of leadership.
