Yearly Events
Annual Fall Conference: The Annual Fall Conference is an event in which students from schools of the NEMASC region have the opportunity to meet one another and share memories together. It begins with the introduction of the executive board followed by a welcoming energizer. There is special guest who speaks to the students. Then the studernts are broken up into groups for the 2 sessions of workshops run by the executive board members. Lunch is also served. The NEMASC members often get rallied up to “Ride the pony” anywhere they can. Spring Conference: The Annual Spring Conference consists of the same events as the Fall Conference, only the elections for the executive board for the incoming school year are taken place here. Speeches are given in place of a second session of workshops for the day.
The North Eastern Massachusetts Association of Student Council consists of multiple schools that are widely spread throughout the area. Many of which do not participate or even know they belong in the region. Our board's job is to reach out and pull in these schools because they don't know what type of experiences they are missing out on. We want the unity amongst all of the councils inorder to be the strongest council we can. NEMASC is undergoing lots of upcoming changes. With the new advisor, we wish to set up more region bonding activities including possibilities such as: round tables, lock-ins, and other ideas to come. We really hope to have a formal awards dinner to conclude the year as a region. Together we start the changes within ourselves that begins to build in our schools and eventually, the world. |
