Exhibit Hall

In 2010, the MASC Executive Board restructured the Exhibit Hall program.  In previous years, it had been an opportunity for various community service programs to present their ideas to students.  Recently, however, the executive board decided that the program would be restructured to better suit the needs of all delegates.

Rather than have community service representatives present their potential projects to students and advisors, we wanted each school to present a project of their own, for all of MASC to see!  Each school who registers will place a tri-fold poster board in Exhibit Hall, along with a representative from their school.  The job of the tri-fold and representative is to introduce a specific project that your council completed.  It could be a community service project, pep-rally event, fundraiser, or any other type of project!  It would also be good if students could be provided with hand-outs regarding your project, so they can take it back to their own councils.

This is your council's chance to show-off one of the amazing things you do!  The executive board is very excited to see all of the amazing projects MASC schools have to offer.  The registration form can be found in the new MASC Guidebook once it is released.

  • Letter from Afghanistan
Received a great message from an MASC alum currently stationed in Afghanistan. For anyone that questions what MASC can do for you, read this over! We wish Eddie the best of luck and safe return from his deployment in Afghanistan!

I am Eddie Walsh and I was an MASC delegate 2005-2006. Bottom line up front, MASC makes leaders.
I can look back and confidently say that being involved and attending as many SEMASC and MASC events as I did definitely helped prepare me for college and the infamous "life after college" aka the real world. On a daily basis I use the planning, communication, and creative thinking skills that I learned from workshops, small and large group speakers.
As a (recovering) Student Council kid and a current Marine Officer I recommend that every Massachusetts high school student attend the spring MASC conference and the MASC Summer Camp and participate to the fullest extent.
If I could, I would love to visit the conference and see how it has changed and grown in the 7 years since I last attended, however I am in Helmand Province, Afghanistan and last time I checked Hyannis is quite a commute.
Please tell all the students and advisers that I wish I could be there with them.

    Respectfully,
    1stLt Edward Walsh

    Hello Advisors!

On December 7th at noon, registration will open for the Annual State Conference.  We have put these instructions together and attached a registration worksheet to make the process as easy as possible.

Go to http://www.mastuco.net/ and click on one of the following options on the left side of the main page:

"Full  - Annual State Conference" registration - Use this registration method if your student list is fairly certain and you have minimal TBD (to be determined) students.   The registration worksheet will help you prepare your rooms before you go online to register. It can be downloaded here http://www.mastuco.net/images/confregwork.pdf ..  If you have a significant number of TBD students, you will be best off to use the "Quick - Annual State Conference" registration.  This will give you until February 1st to come back to the site and complete this full registration.

"Quick  - Annual State Conference" registration - Use this registration if you have a lot of TBD (to be determined) students. It will save you time in the long run!  The registration worksheet will help you prepare your rooms before you go online to register. It can be downloaded here http://www.mastuco.net/images/confregwork.pdf .. You will need to come back and complete the full registration once you have names or before February 1, 2013.
